Event Details: “I don’t have any particular feelings towards the earthquake in Sichuan!” a youth said. Stories after stories, from afar the omnipresent media filled our eyes and ears with heartbreaking images, numbers and tears. Lives lost within seconds. We stand still with no feeling. How could this be? Is it afar, or can’t connect? Can we feel that staggering pain? It is a time to encourage youths who are living peaceful and abundant lives to learn and cherish the people around them and contribute to the community. It is a time for us to reflect and take part …. in the grief of those who are sorrowing. Across U-hub is hosting a “Lament” Youth Concert at Scarborough Chinese Baptist Church, from 7 – 9pm on June 8th (Sunday), in hopes to use interview, story, multi-media and music, to encourage youths to embrace a long lasting loving care to strive for a purpose driven life. details...
